If I had to start collecting Gretsch guitars, I would start with this (maybe I just did?) one.  This one is the rare early version with the embossed leather on the sides of the guitar, matching strap and case.Also, and, get this, it came from a pretty major dude, and is a total winner.

The guitar is original except for the bridge and is a little dusty.Good guitar.
